I was reading 10 Little Rubber Ducks in storytime last week and asking the kids if they knew the names of the various animals. When we got to a picture of a seal, one of the kids shouted out "That's a MANATEE!" Not quite, but I was impressed that a 3-year-old knew the word "manatee"! Cute, cute!
